Who Has Heard The Wind: Do wind farms produce noise pollution?
This is an article we wrote for Energy Insight. One of the objections often raised when large wind farms are proposed is the noise the turbines produce. Is this a valid concern? What can be done to minimize the impact?
In researching the article we interviewed home-owners living near large wind farms, and wind power developers. We also researched the technology behind wind turbines and their design, their placement relative to residential areas, and the possible effects of low-frequency noise. For the portfolio we sourced stock photos and performed basic page layout.
